That's what I tried...the tv tuner for my computer doesn't allow me to record. It's such a pain. I don't know how else to get around it.

it's not the TV tuner that allows you to record or not. It's the software that you use. If the signal is getting to your computer, and it plays on your computer it can be grabbed and recorved.

look into: Cyberlink products like PowerDVD or [Vous devez être inscrit et connecté pour voir ce lien] in the download section for Digital TV's or browse for various WinTV software... there are ton's out there.

Yes Kid-pong is correct. I use a Mac and I have a lot of options to record via Quick Time what signal is coming in as I do with a mic or audio signal so let us know if you have any further questions.

I thought Facebook images were out of bounds on this site since the Julie Emond Blog postings. Facebook is much more personal than TV and I is my belief that they should be kept private.

I know it might be against popular belief, but I think it's all about respecting personnal life and giving them space. Public TV is one thing, private facebook images are another (and I know some people accept everybody on facebook but lots of them don't, so publishing the private pictures can actually be punishable by law)....

@kid pong. If this board does not want any FB links etc then that's fine.
If a FB user makes pictures public and does not post photo or copyright restrictions on the pictures there is nothing illegal about re-posting them anywhere on the net as it's deemed public domain. Hence why Google can display some FB pics and not others in search results.

The only legal power she would have is to demand their removal after the fact by formal notice, but she has no legal rights if there is no legal copyright statement on her FB page. Also paul is right if she has not made her page private then it's her fault. Sometimes the promo photographer will be angry but can only go after her for not stating copyright infringement and especially credits to the photographer.

that's what i thought regarding copyright.... if this place specifically doesn't want fb pics here, then that's another matter.

let me make myself clear. I didn't say that the images WHERE not ok here, I simply THOUGHT they were out of bounds because of a past experience one this board. I am not a moderator, nor am I an admin on this board. I am simply a long time user that likes this place that's all.

as for my personnal taste.... I love the pictures, facebook and others BUT, I know some of the presentators actually visit this site and I simply thought it would be a extra respectfull thing to do to not invade the personnal space too much.

Like I said in my original post.... I do know some presentators accept anybody on facebook, but I also know some of them had to close down there facebook, blogs and other accounts because of privacy issues. One of them that actually has to do with this board.
