I don’t understand what’s happening. Logically, Lesley should be in the studio because of her advanced pregnancy and Michelle should be on location to replace her. For the last couple of days (and also last week) Lesley was on location and someone else was replacing Lesley in the studio. They use 3 persons to fill 2 jobs!

But we’ll have to wait until Lesley goes on her maternity leave to have a better picture of the situation. If Michelle doesn’t show up this week at all and also at the beginning of next week then maybe we’ll have something to worry about. But like I said we’ll have to wait and see. Maybe it’s part of her contract to be on the air only once in a while until Lesley leaves, who knows!

Actually, Michelle is on the 6 and 11 pm newscasts this week. At 6, she does a segment on hurricane Ike and at 11 she does the weather.

Last Friday at 11pm, she did the sports for the first time and on Monday at 6 pm she did a report on Britney Spears at the MTV awards.

Michelle left TWN and is now at CHCH in Hamilton doing fluff pieces on the morning show. Rumour mill has it she was involved in Suzanne Leonard's divorce....

Oh boy, i can only imagine the party they had at the office for chrismas..

why would michelle do something like that I dont belive that michelle has anything at all to do with it! michelle is a sweet lady who would not cause anyone to break off the relationship with anyone.

Let me put my 2 cents in why Michelle left TWN.

I found out that Michelle was on LeafTV and CHCH on this board, but nobody has talked about the one thing she is doing in her personal life that she mentioned many times over the last year. So I will separate the facts and my opinions below.

Facts:

Aug 07 Michelle was cohosting with Candice Batista before she left and mention that she was returning to school in the fall. Over the year, Michelle mentioned many times she was working on a degree in Meteorology.

From her on-line bio, she already has degrees from Ryerson and U of T.

In the spring of 2008, (worked at LeafTV but before CHCH) she mentioned on-air a conversion she had with her mother where she said she was overwhelmed with work and everything.

My opinion:

Since she already has 2 degrees, she probably had exemptions for a lot of the first year courses in the Meteorology program. Since she didn't have a full course load, she probably decided to continue at TWN to see if she could handle the workload of school and TWN at the same time.

Early on in school, she probably realized that there was no way she could handle a full course load and work at TWM. Basically, she would be working 7 days a week for 8 months of the year.

Now she's in the second year of the program and probably has a full course load.

Being an on-air personality, there is no way she can quit working and just go to school full-time for 4 years. I believe this is why we started seeing her on LeafTV and CHCH because she knew there was no way she could put in the hours required at TWN.

When she told her mom about being overwhelmed at work and everything(I don't believe she had the CHCH job yet), she was probably sending out resumes and going to interviews at the time.
The problem with finding a new job was that she need one that allowed her to go to school during the day, which would be very difficult to get.

She started doing the 11pm weather on the same day that the fall semester started. This way she can go to school during the day, work in the evenings and at least have the weekends off to relax.

As for the rumour that she had something to do with Suzanne's divorce, I don't know how it started but I think it came about because Michelle left TWN at the exact time Suzanne dropped her married name.
But for me, it was just a coincidence.

Thanks for all that Michelle info Jamoe... It probably is a coincidence but personally if I had to choose between Michelle and Suzanne I know which one I'd pick....
